Our working day starts at 7:00 a.m., when we arrive at the customer\u2019s property. We begin by going over the plans together. We check the paint colour, confirm which walls will have an accent colour and walk through the property to see whether anything else needs discussing.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Once the customer has left, we agree on our approach and discuss anything we need to consider during preparation. The painters go through everything together before starting.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Masking, masking and...<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Around 80% of our time is spent masking everything that should not be sprayed, such as floors, skirting boards, frames, windows, stairs, air-conditioning units, the kitchen and bathroom. It is a substantial job, but we are happy to take the time to do it properly.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Caulking internal corners<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Once the home is fully masked, we start caulking all internal corners. This is usually only needed on new plaster, to create a neat junction between walls and ceilings. We caulk every corner between two walls or between a wall and a ceiling.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

New plaster may look smooth, but appearances can be deceptive. For the best result, new plaster needs to be machine-sanded. If you have chosen this option, this is when we do it.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Checking walls and making minor repairs<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Next, we inspect the walls to be sprayed for visible damage or imperfections that we can remove or repair. We cannot fix every irregularity, but we will take care of everything we can.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Spraying the primer<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

New plaster needs to be treated before painting to improve paint adhesion. We always start by spraying a primer or stabilising sealer that binds dust and reduces the surface\u2019s absorbency.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Once the primer is sufficiently dry, we spray the wall paint. We apply it in overlapping passes to create a smooth, even result. This paint forms the final finish on the walls and ceilings.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

We can now remove the masking materials, which requires care. The walls have just been sprayed and the paint is still wet. We carefully remove the tape, protective film and masking paper without touching the freshly painted walls and ceilings.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Of course, we leave everything tidy. We put empty buckets, paper, plastic and other waste into large refuse bags. As part of our complete service, we take all our waste with us and arrange for it to be processed at the waste and recycling centre.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
