Wall Spraying
When spraying latex on walls, the surface determines which preparation is necessary. New plasterwork must be sufficiently dry, smooth, and dust-free; we assess existing paintwork for adhesion, damage, and contamination. We carefully protect window frames, doors, and fixed elements, and repair minor imperfections where agreed. We then apply the appropriate primer and latex evenly for a smooth, matt result without roller marks.
Ceiling Spraying
Ceilings require extra attention because grazing light can make every streak or imperfection visible. We check the surface, protect the space carefully, and caulk or repair joints where necessary. Using professional airless equipment, we distribute the latex evenly across the ceiling. This creates a calm, uniform finish that blends beautifully with the walls.
Combining Ceilings and Walls
Having walls and ceilings sprayed at the same time is often the most efficient choice, as the masking and preparation work can be carried out in one go. A single color provides a calm and spacious effect; different colors are also possible when the extra masking time is included in the quote. We discuss in advance which combination technically and visually best suits the home.
What is latex spraying?
In airless latex spraying, wall paint is finely atomized under controlled pressure and evenly distributed over walls or ceilings. This creates a calm, uniform paint structure without roller marks. The spraying technique is particularly efficient for larger surfaces and when multiple walls and ceilings are finished in a single project.
However, the final result begins before spraying. The surface must be sufficiently dry, stable, smooth, and dust-free. New plasterwork, existing paintwork, and local repairs each require different preparation. Therefore, we assess in advance whether priming, sanding, caulking, or repair work is necessary. Latex spraying provides a smooth finish to a good surface; it does not automatically make damage or imperfections invisible.
Costs of latex paint spraying
The costs of latex spraying depend on the total surface area, the condition and type of surface, the required preparation, the number of colors, and the accessibility of the rooms. That is why we work with clear price tiers, and you receive a quote that fits the actual situation.
View our current rates and price structure for latex spraying. There you can also see which activities belong to the different surfaces. This way, we prevent outdated starting prices or incomplete offers from giving a wrong impression.
When is latex spraying advantageous?
Airless spraying is particularly efficient when multiple walls and ceilings are finished in one project. The preparation requires attention, but after that, large surfaces can be sprayed quickly and very evenly. Whether spraying is the best choice for your project therefore depends on the total surface area and the desired finish.

Quality starts with the surface
For many projects, we use SPS Easytop Extra Matt S1: an extra matt, highly cleanable wall paint with scrub class 1. We tailor the choice of paint to the surface and the use of the room. Just as important is the product build-up: a stable, dry, and dust-free surface, appropriate primer where necessary, and uniform application together determine the final result.
The right layer build-up for every surface
We do not work with a single standard promise for every wall or ceiling. New plasterwork, existing paintwork, and highly absorbent or repaired surfaces each require their own preparation and layer build-up. We assess in advance what is needed and spray until the agreed finish is even and opaque. Thus, the result is leading, not a separately mentioned number of coats.
Which latex do we use?
For all our spraying work, we use SPS Easytop Extra Matt (scrub class 1)
This paint is an extra matt, very cleanable interior wall paint based on synthetic resin dispersion. Applicable on sufficiently dry sanded surfaces, concrete, plasterwork, masonry, plasterboard, hardboard, softboard, etc. This paint is very suitable for latex spraying.
- Scrub resistant, little to no burnishing
- Water-based; free from solvents and emissions
- Vapor permeable; so it breathes with the moisture balance
- Non-yellowing
- Elastic
- Good coverage
- Beautiful smooth flow
- Matt finish
What is scrub class 1 latex?
Latex wall paint within this scrub class 1 category is highly cleanable with a soft cloth and is perfectly suited for latex spraying. This paint is ideal for rooms that are used intensively, such as schools, healthcare institutions, bathrooms, and so on.
Scrub class 1 latex refers to the highest degree of scrub resistance according to the European standard EN 13300.

Our working method: from request to delivery
We would like to walk you through our working method step by step.
#1
Quotation process
After the request for a quote, we will contact you to make an appointment. We like to visit in advance to view the work, discuss your wishes, and accurately measure the surface area.
Is it not (yet) possible to view the home? No problem! Based on our telephone conversation, we can already form a good idea of the desired work.
#2
Clear quote
You will receive a clearly specified quote from us via email. This states exactly what we have discussed. If the surface area has been measured by us, the invoice will never be higher based on surface area.
#3
Preparation of the rooms
Our painters need space to effectively spray the wall paint. Therefore, the rooms must be empty on the day of our arrival. The rooms to be sprayed are prepared by protecting and masking everything that does not need to be sprayed. During the quotation process, we discussed whether the floor needs to be covered. Covering the floors is not standard in the quote.
Before we can spray:
- Rooms must be empty.
- Walls and ceilings must be ready for spraying and dust-free.
- Ensure access to water, electricity, and sanitary facilities.
- New plasterwork must be sufficiently dry; use a construction dryer or fans if necessary.
- Remove covers from sockets and switches.
- Dismantle stair railings, spotlights, and lamps.
- Cover the floor.
#4
On the day of the work
On the execution day, we walk through the agreements, colors, and points of attention together once more. Subsequently, we protect all parts that will not be sprayed and carry out the agreed preparation. Only when the surface and space are ready do we begin with primer and latex according to the chosen product build-up.
#5
Delivery
After spraying, we check the coverage and the final appearance under appropriate light. Then we remove the masking material, clear up the used protection material, and walk through the result with you. Any points of attention are recorded during delivery.
Additional information
How many coats of latex are needed?
That depends on the surface, color, and chosen product build-up. New plasterwork usually first requires a suitable primer. We then apply the latex evenly and overlapping until the agreed finish is uniform and opaque. We assess the result, not just the number of passes with the sprayer.
Is latex spraying beautiful?
Yes, provided the surface is sufficiently flat and carefully prepared. Airless spraying gives a calm, uniform paint structure without roller marks. However, the technique does not automatically make an irregular surface smooth; damage and imperfections must be appropriately repaired beforehand.
How much time is there between requesting a quote and executing the work?
The planning depends on our calendar, the scope of the project, and the moment the home is ready. After the request, we discuss the desired period and check whether the surface will be dry and suitable in time. The execution date becomes final after agreement on the quote.
How long does spray work take to dry?
The paint is usually dust-dry within a few hours but needs longer to fully cure. Ventilation, temperature, humidity, and layer thickness influence the drying time. We advise being careful for the first few days and only cleaning the finish intensively after full curing.
How good is the coverage of latex spraying?
Good coverage results from the combination of a suitable surface, appropriate primer, sufficient material, and uniform overlapping. Strong color differences or local repairs may require extra attention. During execution, we check whether the surface is even and opaque everywhere.
Answers to all your questions
Is your question not listed? Feel free to contact us. We think along with you about the surface, preparation, colors, planning, and the best approach for your home or commercial building.
How long does latex spraying take?
The duration of execution depends on the surface area, the condition of the surface, and the agreed preparation work. We can carry out many residential projects within one working day; larger projects or surfaces with extra repair work require more time. In the quote, we provide a realistic schedule in advance.
Latex spraying after plastering
New plasterwork must be sufficiently dry, flat, stable, and dust-free before it can be finished. We assess the absorption and condition of the surface in advance and use a suitable primer where necessary. Spraying too early can lead to color differences, poor adhesion, or an uneven final appearance.
