How does VAT work?
Because VAT rates vary between projects, we quote prices excluding VAT.
Which rate applies?
Private new-build homes (under 2 years old)
For private new-build homes and homes less than 2 years old, the VAT rate is 21%.
Private homes (over 2 years old)
Homes more than two years old benefit from a reduced VAT rate of 9%.
Businesses / B2B
For businesses, the VAT rate is always 21%.
Contractors
If we are hired by a contractor, we invoice under the VAT reverse charge mechanism.
Additional options
Accent colour
This colour surcharge applies when one or more walls are painted a different colour from the rest, for example a single wall in the living room. We paint this wall by hand. The surcharge is added to the standard area-based price and covers the extra work and paint in your chosen colour.
From €150 per wall/colour excl. VAT
Colour change
We call it a colour change when the ceilings are a different shade from the walls. We schedule an extra working day for this, spraying the walls on day one and the ceilings on day two. The surcharge covers the additional work on the second day and all the materials required.

Protective floor covering
Need to protect your floor? We can cover it completely with fully waterproof protective floor covering to keep it protected.
Protective floor covering is not included in our standard package because we often work in homes where the flooring will be installed later.
