Wall spray painting

From new plaster to walls ready for a fresh colour, we take care of the spray painting and preparation. You receive advice, an itemised quote and clear guidance on what to prepare before we arrive.
Smooth walls without roller marks
Airless spraying applies wall paint evenly. On a smooth surface, it creates a clean, matt finish without roller texture. It is particularly efficient when painting several rooms or an entire home.
We take preparation seriously. We sand and prime new plaster before painting. On existing walls, we check for damage and loose paint, giving the new coating a sound base.
What type of walls would you like spray painted?
Spray painting newly plastered walls
Has your home just been plastered? We machine sand the walls, check for damage and repair it. We also caulk internal corners and apply primer. We then spray the walls for full coverage. The plaster must be sufficiently dry before we arrive.

Respraying previously painted walls
Want a new colour or fresh white walls? We can respray previously painted walls too. We assess the existing coating and discuss any damage or contamination beforehand. We protect surrounding surfaces and caulk internal corners where needed.

Respraying textured walls
Have spray plaster, decorative textured plaster or another textured finish? Spray painting refreshes the colour while preserving the existing texture. Paint will not make a rough wall smooth. To remove the texture, the wall must first be given a smooth finish before we spray it.
Which finish and colour suit your room?
We use SPS Easytop Extra Mat S1: an extra matt wall paint with wet scrub resistance class 1. It provides a calm appearance and an easy-to-clean finish, ideal for living rooms, hallways and children’s bedrooms.
You are free to choose your colours. If you want one wall in a different colour, we paint that feature wall by hand. If all the walls are a different shade from the ceiling, this counts as a colour change and requires an extra working day. Both options are itemised separately in the quote.

How much does wall spray painting cost?
The price depends mainly on the surface and total area to be sprayed. For 150–350 m² of new plaster, our rate is €9.50 per m² excluding VAT. For existing paintwork within the same size range, the rate is €8.00 per m² excluding VAT. These figures refer to the area of the walls and any ceilings being painted, rather than the home’s floor area.
- New plaster: includes machine sanding, checking and repairing walls, caulking internal corners, primer, masking, SPS wall paint and clean-up.
- Existing paintwork: includes caulking internal corners where needed, masking, SPS wall paint and clean-up. We discuss any additional repairs beforehand.
- Optional extras: feature walls, colour changes and floor protection are charged separately. Protective floor covering is not included as standard.

What should you prepare yourself?
Make sure the rooms to be painted are empty on the day of the work. New plaster must be sufficiently dry. We take care of masking and the preparation included in your package. With our new-plaster package, you do not need to sand or apply primer yourself.
Before we arrive, remove socket and switch faceplates and any items in the way, such as light fittings and stair handrails. Please also provide access to water, electricity and toilet facilities.
Is the flooring already installed? Agree with us beforehand who will protect it. We can supply protective floor covering as an optional extra. See the full preparation checklist.
How we work
- Enquiry and advice. We contact you after receiving your quote request. We are happy to visit beforehand to inspect the walls, discuss your wishes and measure the area. If you cannot yet access the property, we discuss the work by phone.
- Itemised quote. You receive your quote by email, detailing the work and selected options. If we have measured the area, your invoice will not increase because of a difference in measurements. Once you accept, we confirm the date for the work.
- Preparing the space. You make sure the rooms are empty and accessible and the plaster is dry. We agree beforehand who will cover the floor. The remaining preparation depends on your chosen package.
- Preparation and spraying. On the day, we review the agreed work and colours with you. We mask the area and carry out the agreed sanding, repairs and caulking. We then apply the required primer and wall paint for an even, fully opaque finish.
- Inspection and completion. We check the finish, remove the masking materials and clear away our waste. We then review the result together and discuss any points that need attention.

Spray painting walls and ceilings together
Moving home or renovating? It is often practical to have walls and ceilings finished together. We include both in one quote and coordinate the work.
If the walls and ceilings are different colours, we schedule an extra working day for the colour change: walls on day one and ceilings on day two. A single feature wall is a separate option, painted by hand. See also ceiling spray painting.
Wall spray painting FAQs
Do I need to know the area in square metres?
No. Tell us which rooms you want painted when you enquire. We can measure the walls during a visit. If the property is not yet accessible, we will discuss what information is available for preparing a quote.
Do you repair holes and damage?
Our new-plaster package includes checking the walls and repairing damage. For existing paintwork, we assess any repairs beforehand and include them in the agreed work. Paint itself does not fill holes or cracks; these need to be repaired before spraying.
Do I need to sand and prime the walls myself?
Our new-plaster package includes machine sanding and primer, so you do not need to do this yourself. For existing walls, the preparation depends on the current coating. Please discuss any preparation you plan to do with us first.
Can you do this if I already live in the home?
Yes, as long as the rooms we paint are empty and we can properly protect everything else. The whole house does not need to be empty, only the rooms where we are working. Tell us about the flooring and fixed furnishings when you enquire.
How long does wall spray painting take?
We complete many home projects within one working day. The area and preparation determine how long your job takes. A colour change between walls and ceilings requires an extra day. We confirm the schedule for your home in advance.
